Anise is also known as Sweet Cumin or Aniseseed.

Store in a cool, dry, dark place away from heat and moisture. Ground anise will keep it's flavor for up to 6 months. Seeds will keep for up to 2 or 3 years.

Available in whole seeds, ground or as an oil. For the best flavor, buy the whole seeds and grind in a spice grinder.

Anise has been used for thousands of years as a flavoring and even as a form of currency.
