Little Latin Meatballs
Serve as an appetizer or main dish

Serves 4 as an main dish or 12 as an appetizer

• 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and membranes removed
• 1 pound ground turkey 93/7
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup panko
• 1/4 cup 1% milk
• 1/4 cup shredded reduced fat Monterey jack cheese
• 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
• 4 green onions (white part and green tops), finely chopped
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• Salsa

Remove stems, seeds and membranes from peppers; chop peppers. Mix peppers, turkey, egg, bread crumbs, milk, cheese, onions, salt and pepper. Shape mixture into 1 inch. balls. Place on a rack in an ungreased 13 x 9-in. baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees fahrenheit until brown, 15 to 20 minutes until cooked through.

Serve with green or red salsa
